WOMEN EMPOWERMENT

When a woman is empowered, the community is empowered.

Gender equality is a key aspect of UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals. This means that both men and women to have equal right in accessing opportunities and resources in our communities and hence contribute in sustainable development. But over decades women rights have been undermined in our communities.

At PAIC we believe women play major roles in our community development and hence we have prepared strategies to recognize and empower women. With the livelihood campaign we work with housewives, small scale women entrepreneurs, and young women from the less privileged communities to improve their livelihood.

We achive this through support, promoting capacities and change of vurnerability to risk in the areas of small scale farming and livelihood. This is an important step in building better communities where women's voices are heard and that women are involved in decision making process in order to create a better world.

Reproductive & Child Health

We empower women living in the less privileged communities by promoting the health and livelihood of through reproductive and child health education. This leads to giving birth to healthy babies and also use proper means to raise up their children and hence contributing to community well-being. We strategically include men so that they could also play part in working hand in hand with women for a better tomorrow. A well empowered woman is a harmonious community with better life.
